Dear all,

As global concerns about COVID-19 grow, we wish to update you on what we’re doing to maintain the health and wellbeing of our staff and our customers while still maintaining the same level of attention that you’ve come to expect from us.

Under the current circumstances, we will restrict non-essential mine-site visits from this week. We also understand many mining companies have already put in place restrictions on external visitors to their sites.

We’re committed to joining others in limiting the number of new infections while still retaining continuity of service.

We have undertaken a risk review and implemented a range appropriate mitigation measures, important information to note is as follows:

·         Personnel: We have no reported COVID-19 cases. We do not expect that any site staff will be returning from abroad in the near term, however, in the case that they do, they will isolate for 14 days, and an equally qualified replacement will take their swing.

·         Supply chains: Supply is steady and contingent stock is adequate at this time. Forty per cent of our steel is sourced locally with the remainder coming from global steel mills. We currently have four to six months of stock either on-site, on consignment or in transit.

·         Communication: we are in constant communications with employees around COVID-19. Larger meetings have been halted in favour of teleconferencing and pre-recorded videos. Importantly we are communicating with staff the preventative measures that they can take to limit their exposure as well as any official updates we receive from government sources.

·         Remote work: we are currently investigating what roles can be accomplished remotely and are ensuring that all staff have the necessary training and access to technologies they need to achieve this.

We do not predict that there will be any changes to current delivery dates or work schedules; however, we will communicate any changes as information comes to hand.

Our embedded site teams will continue to work exclusively alongside clients, while others are available for critical or emergency work if needed.

If you or your site requires assistance, please contact your regular account manager or call 1800 472 452 to speak with an operator.

Please feel free to get in contact if you have any questions or updates.
